Cookies & GDPR Policy
This page explains how TargetGSM uses cookies and similar technologies and how you can manage your preferences in line with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
Last updated: November 2025
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to site owners.
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as local storage or pixels. In this policy we refer to all of them as โcookiesโ.
2. Who sets cookies on TargetGSM?
Cookies on TargetGSM may be set by:
- First-party cookies โ placed directly by TargetGSM to support core functionality, such as keeping you logged in or remembering your preferences.
- Third-party cookies โ placed by external services that we integrate, such as analytics or embedded content. These third parties have their own privacy and cookies policies.
3. Cookie categories we use
For transparency, we group our cookies into several categories. Depending on your region, you may see these categories in a consent banner or preference panel.
3.1. Strictly necessary (essential)
These cookies are required for the website to function properly and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions you take, such as logging in, setting privacy preferences or filling in forms.
- Session cookies that keep you authenticated while you navigate.
- Security cookies used to protect your account (for example CSRF tokens).
- Cookies that store basic choices (for example language or cookie banner dismissal).
Because they are essential, these cookies are always active and do not require your consent.
3.2. Preferences (functional)
These cookies allow the website to remember enhanced settings and choices you make, such as interface preferences, saved filters or whether to show certain hints or tips.
If you disable these cookies, some convenience features may not work as expected, but the core website will still function.
3.3. Analytics & performance
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use TargetGSM, which pages are popular and where we can improve usability and content. The data is usually aggregated.
- Page views, navigation paths and time spent on pages.
- Basic information about the device and browser used.
- Events such as clicks on certain buttons or tools.
Where required by law (for example in the EU/EEA under GDPR and ePrivacy), we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential analytics cookies.
3.4. Marketing & affiliate
In some cases, we may use cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic to affiliate partners or campaigns. These cookies help us understand which links are used and may be required for partners to attribute commissions correctly.
TargetGSM does not currently use aggressive tracking for personalised advertising, but if we introduce such features in the future, we will update this section and ask for explicit consent where required.
4. Examples of cookies used
The exact cookies may change as we improve the platform, but typical examples include:
- tg_session (essential) โ keeps you logged in during a browsing session.
- tg_cookie_consent (essential) โ remembers your cookie preferences so we do not show the banner every time.
- analytics_* (analytics) โ used by analytics tools to measure visits and usage in aggregated form.
- affiliate_* (marketing/affiliate) โ used to track outbound clicks for affiliate programs or partners.
5. Consent and control (GDPR)
In regions where GDPR and similar regulations apply, we rely on your consent for setting non-essential cookies (such as analytics and marketing) and on legitimate interest or contractual necessity for essential cookies.
When you first visit TargetGSM (or after cookies are cleared), you may see a cookie banner or consent panel that:
- explains the main cookie categories we use;
- allows you to accept all or only certain categories; and
- provides a link to this Cookies & GDPR Policy.
You can change your preferences at any time by:
- using the cookie settings link or icon (where available on the website); and/or
- adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete and block cookies for a website. Be aware that removing or blocking cookies may impact your experience and can log you out from your account.
You can usually find cookie-related settings in your browserโs โOptionsโ, โSettingsโ or โPrivacyโ menu. For detailed instructions, check your browserโs help pages.
7. Third-party services
When we integrate third-party services (for example analytics, embedded videos or social widgets), those providers may place their own cookies. We try to document the main services used, but their cookie behaviour is governed by their own policies.
We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party services you interact with through TargetGSM.
8. Changes to this Cookies & GDPR Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we introduce new features, integrate new third-party services or adapt to legal requirements.
The โLast updatedโ date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
